The Rock Research Laboratory provide facilities for rock and sediment thin section preparation, grain size distribution analysis of fine-grained sediments, field tests of groundwater and surface water composition and aggregate rock hardness tests.

The Rock Research Laboratory is participation in the implementation of bachelor, master, and doctoral study programmes in the field of geology and related disciplines, as well as scientific research implementing the latest research methodologies and findings. The aim of the laboratory is to support study process and scientific research.

Main tasks:

  • support the implementation laboratory, particle and seminary work for the study course in rock research methods, sedimentology and geochemistry;
  • provide the research facilities for students including PhDs and academic personnel;
  • implementing the latest research methods in the filed.
